What does BETA mean?

Summary
	"Beta" is geek speak for a pilot program or test version of a product. New or improved features and products are often released as Beta to give users a change to try it, and to help developers discover, monitor and repair problems. When all the problems have been uncovered and corrected, the feature or product is moved out of Beta and into regular release.
